Testimonials

“Having an author visit with Kim Howard is much like Grace’s experience with Box in her book, Grace and Box. Our students went on an adventure with Kim learning all about how she practices her writing, where her ideas come from, and how her own children’s love of playing in boxes inspired this book. The Kindergarteners-2nd graders at our school were enraptured by Kim. Our littlest readers were thrilled to meet a real-life author. Kim was a complete joy to meet and learn from and we can’t wait to have her back!”

-Kristen Lassiter; Library Media Specialist; Teacher of the Year 2021; Wayland Bonds Elementary

“I highly recommend Grace and Box and a visit from author, Kim Howard. It is such a great book to encourage STEM in the early childhood grades. She kept our youngest students engaged and using their imagination!”

-Cindy Lowe; Library Media Specialist; Briarwood Elementary

“I highly recommend having Kim Howard for an author visit.  She is informative, engaging and flexible.  As a former educator, she has classroom management experience.  She used call backs to get the students’ attention in seconds.”

-Marsha Drees; Librarian; Heritage Elementary

“We invited Kim Howard as our guest of honor at our first Family Literacy Night. After her introductions and book reading she went above and beyond being so gracious to each child who wanted to meet her, a real-life author, signing books and taking pictures. Our students will be talking about this fun experience for years to come. I have no doubt she has fostered a spark in many of our young readers/authors!”
